Sony Xperia VL

When we talk about Sony there are only two things that get registered in our brains, either the Play Station or the Xperia. Well this time we're going to focus on the latter. The multinational conglomerate company has come up with an augmentation of its Xperia V. The Sony Xperia VL,which has been rumoured to kick-off on November 2nd of this year, will feature the Xperia V's dust and water resistant amazing curvy structure. The Xperia VL has inherited Bravia's slim sensor-on-lens 720p HD display. The 4.3inch phone runs on the rapid 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. At its heart lies a storage capacity of 16GB,expandable via a microSD card, and a 1GB RAM.
Now if you're into photography, this phone is the right tool for you. It's packed with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 3.1-megapixel front-facing camera. Plain awesome. This version of the Xperia runs on the 4.0.4 Ice-Cream Sandwich operating system,a bit of a disappointment if you might add. However there is no need to get tensed up as the phone can be upgraded to the 4.1 Jelly-Bean.

The Little Galaxy S3

Samsung revealed it's mini version of Galaxy S3 later his evening in a surprise event. S3 Mini has got similar Design as of it's big brother S3.  From its previous releases, it was quite evident that Samsung wants to create a design quotient for itself as its new phones like S3, Note 2, S duos and S3 mini have a similar shape and design. Though, this design saves Samsung from the patent war that they earlier got into but fails to match upto the designs of its competitors.

The phone has got a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, with a display of 800 X 480. The phone is powered by a dual core ,1 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. The original 8-Megapixel camera is replaced by a 5-Megapixel camera in the mini version. The device also holds support for NFC.

Built on the conventional Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the 9.4-inch tablet has still retained the magazine-like fold fashionable to the original Tablet S and P. Almost all the ports and hardware keys of this tablet are 'invisible',either buried underneath folds or hidden beneath a piece of plastic. Report The Bugs To Apple

The iPhone 5 has recieved over a 5 million takers already, but more than cheer for the iOS 6 there was boohoo over the Apple Maps, its accuracy. Rather than getting infuriated over the inefficeny of the Maps interface, topography marking lapse, incorrect place markers you can report to Apple and make the Apple Maps better! It would take a few seconds and as Apple itself said that "as Maps is a cloud-based solution, the more people use it, the better it will get."

Users who search for a specific city or landmark and find an error can at least alert Apple to the glitch. To do so, tap on the right arrow or information icon next to the pinned area to bring up the Location page. At the bottom of the page, tap on the Report a Problem link.

Buttery And Sweet 'Jelly Bean'

In the 1910s and early 1920s a "Jellybean" or "Jelly-Bean" was a young man who dressed stylishly to attract women. In the sweets, jelly beans are much sweeter than ice cream sandwiches, however in the Android world the sweetness is directly proportional to the updates.

The update to the Android operating system always promises new stuff, faster and elegant interface. The Jelly Bean (Android 4.1), if we count it on our fingers has 25 improvements over the IceCream Sandwich. The most appealing update is the Google Now and the Buttery graphics and interface. Interestingly, Google has not given its voice recongnation system a name like Siri or S-voice! it prefers to call it simply Google.

The other major upgrades include; Expandable notifications, magical widgets, seamless sharing of photographs, a smarter keyboard, Android Beam and previously mentioned Google Now, Voice search/recognition and the faster, smoother buttery interface.

'Surface' Tension For iPad?

(Courtesy: Microsoft.com)
When Abhinav Bindra, a rifle shooter won a Gold medal in Olympics, the nation was proud and overwhelmed. After which every kid in the gullies of India wanted to pick up the gun and be a shooter. Whereas previously everyone wanted to be Sachin Tendulkar. If one obtains success in a field, others try to do something similar; but it is not unnecessary that all will achieve success of the same magnitude.

Apple and Microsoft have been logger-heads after Steve Jobs's reality distortion field could not be beard by Bill Gates. Later, they collided on the hardware as well as the software front. Finally, Apple emerged as an emperor of the smartphone markets and Microsoft dominated the computers with their operating system, Windows.

Twitter Gets A New Bird, A New Logo.

Social-networking-revolutionary-service—Twitter has unveiled a new logo for itself. The company says the new logo will be the universally recognized symbol of Twitter. And that "there's no longer a need for text, bubbled typefaces, or a lowercase ‘t’ to represent Twitter." Though there are a many logo’s which symbolize Twitter, but this one will just replace the ‘t’.

The bird in the logo has its head held high, wings spread wide. Looks like Twitter is getting philosophical with its design and logos. Twitter says that "our new bird grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry," and that "a bird in flight is the ultimate representation of freedom, hope, and limitless possibility"

Apple Fails In India : Top 5 Reasons.

Apple Fails in India
Apple products are a rage in the West. But in Asian nations like India it isn't popular with the masses. The guys at the research department of Apple do not consider India as a potential ground to sell the iPhone. Maybe it is because of Steve Jobs and his 7 months stay in India in the '70s that has blacklisted Indians from being blessed with the iPhone just as it launches. They have to wait till it officially launches or pay a couple of bucks extra and get it arranged from the Black market.

Its not only the pricing that affects its graphs but also does its service, communication and marketing factors. Indians believe in the "Sasta, Sunder, Tikao" phenomenon. And Apple has been known to deliver simple, aesthetic products and doesn't mind keeping it highly priced.

1. Price:
People who buy electronic are mostly consumers and not buyers. They want the best of all and  prefer having it low priced, offer full feature and getting the best service. The iPhone rates in India are exorbitant. Though the iPhone is used by a million, it is neglected by the masses and thus giving it market to Nokia, who still dominates 60% of the cellular devices sold.

2. Delicacy:
"iPhone gira toh, vaat hai!" (if the iPhone falls, your screwed) is a common axiom. It is believed that once the iPhone slips from your hand, it has slipped forever and you would have to get a new one. Though this is partly false but people do not want to risk it. And you certainly cannot carry it in a 7.59pm Virar Local. After all, it costs you your monthly salary.
